Our leaders

Pastor Watson received the Holy Ghost in December 1979. January 1, 1980, he married his lovely wife First Lady Mary Watson. To this union came 7 children and 13 grandchildren. He became the Home Bible Study Coordinator under the pastorate of the late Rev. Daniel T. Brown, founder of the Apostolic Outreach Center, from 1980 to 1982. In 1982, Pastor Watson received his call of God to preach the gospel. From 1983 until November 2003, Pastor Watson served as a full-time minister and Assistant to Pastor John R. Cupit at Apostolic Outreach Center. In November 2003, Pastor Cupit heard from God to pass the mantle to Watson and after being elected by an overwhelming majority he became pastor of AOC. Pastor Watson is an anointed preacher and teacher with a forte in altar work, soul winning, youth evangelism, family and marriage counseling. He has completed a B.S. in multidisciplinary studies focusing on Psychology and Sociology. He is also a licensed Pastoral Counselor and certified Marriage Counselor. Pastor Watson brings Jesus Christ to every event in which he is involved. God has chosen him to continue and fulfill the vision of the men before him. That is, to reach not only the New Orleans East area but also the whole city with this glorious gospel message.

First Lady Mary Watson received the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus name in November 1979, under the pastorate of the late Rev. Daniel T. Brown. January 1,1980, she married Raymond R. Watson Jr. To this union the Lord added 7 children and 13 grandchildren. After the passing of Rev. Brown in 1982, John R. Cupit assumed the pastorate of the Apostolic Outreach Center. First Lady Mary has served in numerous ministries and has been instrumental in leading her family and many others to the Lord. She received her B.A. degree in Education and an associate degree in Early Childhood Education. November 2003 Pastor John R. Cupit heard from the Lord and knew it was time to pass the mantle on to Bro. Watson to pastor the Apostolic Outreach Center. From 1983 until now First Lady Watson has worked tirelessly alongside her husband in ministry. We at the Apostolic Outreach Center are tremendously blessed for having such a loving and caring First Lady to assist in guiding us to Christ.
